Hi Everyone!

My husband recently had neck injury, and really needs a good old fashion heating pad for pain relief. So for Christmas I thought I would take some left over flannel from my simple holiday tree post and use it to whip up this handy heating pad. I made this one long and narrow so that it could be draped around the neck! I also didn't over fill with rice so that it remained nice and flexible.

I'm also really hoping that my husband doesn't read this post.....because well, that would be awkward.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I have recently become a Singer Brand Ambassador! This is something I am so excited about, I have used Singer products for years. I started with my Fashion Mate and my ProFinish Serger and they have served me sooo well for years and years. I have some exciting new machines to use, the Singer Legacy and the 14T968DC Professional and I'm just warning you.... expect to see them alllllll over my blog.

I'm so excited about the future and I have sooo many posts coming up!

Happy Sewing!
SUPPLIES:

  • Flannel Rectangle 25"x11"
  • Funnel

Take your flannel rectangle and fold it in half. Stitch around the edge, leaving a small opening. Trim your corners and turn right side out.

Using your funnel, fill your heating pad with the rice. I filled mine only half full, so that it was still nice and flexible. Fold the edges of your opening to the inside and stitch closed!
